Vikram Amar, UC Davis, Constitutional Law Professor, will discuss Abraham Lincoln’s views on partisanship, states’ rights, and the institutional role of the Supreme Court, and explore what lessons Lincoln’s approach to these questions during the Civil War era might have for the modern era.
