One City, One Book: Float My Boat Family Activity

Sailing toy boats at the Luxembourg Gardens is a pastime enjoyed by Parisians and visitors alike. Come test your sea legs and build your own boat. Together we’ll see if it sinks or it floats! This program is for kids, ages three to twelve, and their caregivers. Meet at the Storybook Room patio. You might get wet, so dress accordingly. All supplies provided. REGISTER>
 
The 13th annual One City, One Book selection for 2018 is A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. One City, One Book is a “citywide book club” that encourages the community to read the selection and participate in a series of events that celebrate the book. The annual choice is announced in the summer and community events are planned for the fall giving the community time to read and enjoy the book.One City, One Book is presented by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation and Contra Costa County Library.
