The Civil War in 3D

Ron Perisho, Treasurer of the Center for Civil War Photography, presented a program on the use of 3-dimensional photography during the Civil War.

California and the Civil War

Jeff Matthews and Keith and Larry Rogers, from the National Civil War Association, discussed California’s involvement in the Civil War with demonstrations and talks about The California 100 Cavalry and medical conditions during the Civil War.

Letters from the Storm

Clayton resident Linda Foster Arden discussed her book, Letters from the Storm, the Intimate Civil War Letters of Lt. J. H. . JFoster, 155th Pennsylvania Volunteers. The book was developed from a collection of more than 100 letters between Arden’s great-great grandparents during the Civil War. The letters include the details of several visits by President Lincoln as he reviews the troops, and the men’s grieving over his death in April 1865.
