Are you feeling stressed out? Overwhelmed? Burned out? Join us Tuesdays after school from April 11 to May 16 for mindfulness practice at the Walnut Creek teen center. Research shows that mindfulness can decrease stress, anxiety and depression, and improve your mental health. We will talk about where our stress comes from, and develop mindful skills to better handle our stress at the time of the year when you need it most!
Afternoon Mindfulness will be facilitated by 2016 Contra Costa County Teacher of the Year, Kate Perry, a mindfulness and yoga practitioner for 20 years, and a high school teacher for 15 years. Kate is certified to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, which is secular and research-based, to teens and adults.
