Author Talk with Lysley Tenorio

May 24, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

We’re celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a virtual visit from local author, Lysley Tenorio! Join us for a book talk about his novel, The Son of Good Fortune, which features the unique experiences of an undocumented Filipino mother and son as they navigate their relationships with each other, their culture, and the places they call home.

Lysley Tenorio is the author of the novel The Son of Good Fortune and the story collection Monstress, which was named a book of the year by the San Francisco Chronicle. The Son of Good Fortune is being developed into a comedy series by Riz Ahmed and Lulu Wang for Amazon, and Tenorio is currently a 2021-22 Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University, where he is working on a novel. Born in the Philippines, he lives in San Francisco, and is a professor at Saint Mary’s College of California.
