Explore the Dark Side: An Introduction to Cave Science, Conservation, and Safe Exploration

Join us for an ‘illuminating’ virtual presentation about the natural world’s subterranean dark side, presented by the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the National Speleological Society (sfbaycaving.org). You’ll be introduced to local caves that you can visit here in California, and learn how to safely explore a cave, what to pack, how to cave “softly” to protect the extremely delicate environment around you, and importantly — what NOT to do.
