Story & Craft: Flower Power

May 7, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Join Miss Jessica, Youth Services Librarian from the Walnut Creek Library, for a special storytime and Miss Marie from the Ruth Bancroft Garden for a craft session to celebrate flower power!

During the craft session, paper strips will be turned into plants and flowers. Miss Marie will teach you how a rolled paper strip can be formed into a variety of shapes to make flowers. You will learn the basics so that after class you can make your own flower art. Inspiration for this class comes from real plants in bloom at the Ruth Bancroft Garden and Miss Marie will be sharing some of her private photos from the Garden. No previous knowledge required, and this is perfect for all ages!
