The Changing Seasons – Birds of the East Bay Hills
September 29 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Local award-winning photographer Bob Lewis presents a slideshow introduction to our avian neighbors.
The Bay Area is rich in varying habitats that are home to many bird species. As the seasons change, some birds arrive, others depart, and some just stay here at home. We’ll talk about many bird species that can be found in our gardens, with some discussion of things one can do to enrich these bird habitats. The talk includes many illustrations of our local birds.
Bob has taught birding classes in the Bay Area for over 25 years and served as the chair of Golden Gate Audubon’s Adult Education Committee. He’s photographed birds in more than 40 countries, and his life list is over 5000 species.
Attending a talk in the Outdoor Explorer online program series enters you into a drawing for outdoor gear — from lanterns to tents and coolers to hiking poles.
