John Boessenecker

John Boessenecker is a Bay Area historian and author who is considered one of the leading authorities on crime and law enforcement in the Old West. He is the award-winning author of more than 20 books about such colorful characters as Wyatt Earp, Black Bart, Tiburcio Vasquez, Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and Pearl Hart, one of the most notorious woman bandits in the west. His latest book Bring Me the Head of Joaquin Murieta details the complex history of this outlaw with strong ties to the Bay Area.
