Mark Brown

Mark Brown has been a resident of Walnut Creek and Concord for more than 40 years. He and his wife will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary next year, and they are the proud parents of two grown children, Kim and Matthew.

Deeply committed to the Walnut Creek community, Mark has been involved with local nonprofits for many years. He previously served on the board of the Lindsay Wildlife Experience and currently serves as President of the Walnut Creek Historical Society. As a member of the Walnut Creek Library Foundation Board, Mark is especially passionate about programs that highlight local history and connect residents to the stories that shaped the community. A graduate of UC Davis with a degree in history, Mark shares this academic interest with his daughter, who also earned her history degree from UC Davis.
