A great public library is not possible through public funding alone.

The Walnut Creek Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit organization formed in 1998 to support both the Walnut Creek Library and the Ygnacio Valley (Thurman G. Casey) Library.

Mission

The Walnut Creek Library Foundation is a community-based organization that enhances the Walnut Creek libraries’ objective of meeting the cultural, informational, educational and recreational needs of greater Walnut Creek by raising private and public funds and sponsoring programs, materials and events.

We are not a grant-making foundation. Rather, we raise funds from a variety of sources to enhance the collections, programs, and facilities of our local libraries.
