Kelly Grace Thomas is a poet, educator, and writer. She is the Manager of Education for Get Lit-Words Ignite a poetry nonprofit for youth that pairs classic poetry and spoken words. Kelly has taught workshops for the California Endowment, The Los Angeles LGBT center, UCLA Fowler Museum and more. She is the co-author of Words Ignite: How to Explore, Write, and Perform Classic and Spoken Word Poetry, has worked with hundreds of youth across California and helped develop Get Lit’s UC approved year-long curriculum. Her first poetry collection, Boatburned is forthcoming from YesYes Books.

Come and join us and explore the possibilities of robotics by building and programming your own machines. The Walnut Creek Library will be hosting a twice-monthly program focused on more advanced ways to get the most out of a robot with the tools available. We’ll provide the robotics you provide the ideas. Ages 10-17, registration required. A USB storage device is recommended to save work for future use.
