Legos in the Library

Come build with Legos. We provide the Legos. You provide the imagination. Sorry, nothing goes home but your happy memories. But we will take pictures of your projects and post them in the children’s area in the library. Held in the Storybook Room. For ages 4 and up only. 

Crafternoons

Drop by the Storybook Room this summer for Crafternoons! We will supply a fun and not too difficult craft for elementary school aged kids to make at their leisure. Storytime Yoga

For ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. Build your body, build your brain through stories that integrate yoga, reading and fun! This special story time is presented by Arezu Moshirian, kids yoga instructor and speech-language pathologist of Zulu’s Hulu’s Kids & Family Yoga. Space is limited. Register online beginning July 17th. Repeated on 8/15. Register for only one session, 8/14 or 8/15.

ARF’S All Ears Reading
Mon., Aug 14 • 4:00 pm @ Walnut Creek Library
Reading with animals is a great way for children who are struggling with reading to improve their skills. Children read aloud for 20 minutes to a dog from ARF’s Pet Hug Pack in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Sessions begin at 4:00 & 4:30. Space is limited. First come first served. Tickets available beginning at 3:30 pm at the Children’s Information Desk.

Silly Circus Show

Join Bri Crabtree for a show that will have the audience captivated with her fusion of circus, vaudeville, and silliness. This show features juggling, magic, illusion, and physical comedy. Objects come to life, logic is turned upside-down, and curiosity prevails. The show is appropriate for ages 4 and up. No registration required, first 150 admitted to the Oak View Room. BLOCK PARTY! in the Library

Join us for a summer of using your brains to build something new! We’ll use all sorts of materials to construct all sorts of things. From Lego to Keva Planks to toys that teach you how to code, we’ll help you create something to be proud of! No registration required, drop-ins welcome. On the 2nd Floor in the Oak View Room.
