Professor Smart’s Fun with Physics

In Honor of Veterans Day, CAPTAIN MAMA
Mon, Nov 6 • 4:00 pm @ Ygnacio Valley Library
Air Force Captain and veteran, Graciela Tiscareño-Sato, daughter of immigrants and a former aviator who served for nine years on active duty, shares stories from her military career and her award-winning books. Have a look at Graciela’s military flight suits and aviation charts used in the flight deck of her refueling jet, and make a “Jet Skeleton” to take home. Graciela has been honored by The White House as a Champion of Change, Woman Veteran Leader, and works to inspire children with a love of science and technology as a consultant for K-12 school districts. For children ages 5-10. First 60 people to arrive will be admitted. Funded by The Friends of The Ygnacio Valley Library.

Block Party! in the Library

Join us for an hour of using your brains to build something new! We’ll use all sorts of materials to construct all sorts of things. From Lego to Keva Planks to toys that teach you how to code, we’ll help you create something to be proud of! No registration required, drop-ins welcome. Family Movie: Wonder Woman

Time to gear up in your superhero best! Families and people of all ages are invited to the Oak View Room to watch Wonder Woman. This film is rated PG-13 and children under the age of 13 are encouraged to attend with a guardian. The run time of this film is 2 hours and 21 minutes, so come at 4:00 for simple activities or 4:30 for the beginning of the film. Popcorn provided while supplies last. No registration required.

East Bay Vivarium presents: Reptiles!
