Author Talk by Delphine Hirasuna on the Art of Gaman

Join us for an evening with author and Laureate of the San Francisco Public Library, Delphine Hirasuna as she talks about her book ‘The Art of Gaman’. It chronicles how, during World War II, incarcerated Japanese Americans used their creativity and indomitable spirit to create beautiful objects of function and artistry from scraps and found materials in the camps. This special event is part of the Read Contra Costa program.
