Who Could Ask for anything More?

December 13, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Walnut Creek Library Foundation’s Live! From the Library series welcomes back musician Dulais Rhys as he discusses the Great American Songbook, its evolution from vaudeville songs of the late nineteenth century through early twentieth century showtunes, and its impact on the music of today. We welcome you to sing along with this interactive program! Light refreshments will be available.

Born in Wales, Dulais Rhys has been a professional musician for over 30 years and is currently based in Billings, Montana. Rhys received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Wales. He also studied composition and conducting at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dulais Rhys has previously entertained the WCLF community with his presentations “Hello, Goodbye” featuring the music of the Beatles and “Downton Abbey: The Music and The Era.”

Program sponsors are East Bay Times, Friends of the Walnut Creek Library, and Minuteman Press Lafayette.

The WCLF will require proof of vaccination for program attendees, ages 12 and older. Masks for ages 2 and older are encouraged. Thank you for helping us protect each other and our community!
