New books. No Wait! That’s the idea behind the new “Lucky Day” Collection now available at Contra Costa County libraries. The program provides patrons who visit the library opportunities to find on library shelves best sellers and other popular titles that normally have long waiting lists.
“The ‘Lucky Day’ collection is intended to enhance the browsing experience for our library guests,” said County Librarian Jessica Hudson. Library guests are limited to checking out two “Lucky Day” items per library card. The checkout period is three weeks. Books are non-renewable and are not available for holds.
